Australia PR Process for Skilled Workers

Skill Assessment :

SkillSelect: Create an Expression of Interest (EOI) in SkillSelect and provide information about your skills, work experience, and qualifications.

Skills Assessment: Get your skills assessed by the relevant assessing authority for your occupation. This step verifies that your qualifications and work experience meet Australian standards.

English Language Proficiency :

English Test: Take an approved English language test, such as IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL, or Cambridge English, and achieve the required scores for your visa subclass.

Occupation List :

Check the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) or the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL) to confirm that your occupation is in demand in Australia.

Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) :

Submit your EOI through SkillSelect and indicate your interest in applying for a skilled visa. Your EOI will be ranked based on points awarded for factors like age, qualifications, work experience, and English proficiency.

Invitation to Apply (ITA) :

If you meet the minimum points requirement and your EOI is selected, you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a skilled visa.

Visa Application :

Choose Visa Subclass: Select the appropriate skilled visa subclass, such as Subclass 189 (Skilled Independent visa) or Subclass 190 (Skilled Nominated visa).

Lodge Visa Application: Submit a complete visa application, including all required documents, proof of funds, health assessments, character certificates, and biometrics.

Points Test :

Meet the minimum points requirement on the skilled migration points test, considering factors like age, English proficiency, work experience, education, and other criteria.

Health and Character Checks :

Undergo health assessments and provide character certificates to demonstrate that you meet Australia's health and character requirements.

Visa Grant :

If your visa application is approved, you will receive a visa grant notification, allowing you to live, work, and study in Australia under the skilled visa subclass you applied for.

Permanent Residency Approval :

If your application is approved, you will receive Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and a Permanent Resident Visa.

Move to Australia :

Make arrangements to move to Australia, activate your visa upon arrival, and start your new life as a skilled migrantĀ inĀ Australia.
